Tommy Kendall, one of America’s most versatile and accomplished road racers, first attempted to take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2000, driving a Franz Konrad GT2 Porsche. Though his debut at the Circuit de la Sarthe was cut short, it sparked a lifelong appreciation for endurance racing’s challenges and prestige. Nearly a decade and a half later, Kendall made a celebrated return to Le Mans in 2013, driving the SRT Viper GTS-R with the factory-backed team in the GTE Pro class. His comeback highlighted not only his enduring talent but also his deep connection to the sport’s heritage, bridging generations of American endurance racing. Together, Kendall’s two Le Mans appearances - separated by almost 15 years - illustrate a remarkable full-circle journey defined by skill, resilience, and a genuine love for racing at the highest level.
